The Russian Hockey Federation presented the logo of the junior world championship, which will be held in Chelyabinsk and Magnitogorsk from April 19 to 29, 2018.
The key element of the logo is the image of the mountains
and rivers that embody the idea of natural wealth
and diversity, as well as the special geographical location of cities hosting the World Junior Championships. The mountains reflect the regional flavor - Chelyabinsk and Magnitogorsk are some of the largest cities in the Southern Urals. The track from the high-speed washer symbolizes the Ural River, which is the natural water boundary between Asia and Europe.
As a background, the artistically adapted and graphically processed floral ornament, embodying the rich traditions of Russian folk art, was used.
Chelyabinsk region will host the World Hockey Championship among juniors-2018 from April 19 to 29. 10 teams will arrive in Chelyabinsk and Magnitogorsk. The games will be held in Chelyabinsk (arena "Tractor") and Magnitogorsk (arena "Metallurg").
Junior Russian team U18 will play in group B. The rivals of the Russians will be teams of Finland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and France.
In the "A" group will play teams of the United States, Sweden, Canada, Switzerland and Belarus.
